Typhoon Pedring (international name Nesat), which submerged several farm areas in northern Philippines, damaged P729.18 million worth of crops, the agriculture department said Wednesday.
The death toll from typhoon “Pedring” (Nesat) rose to 39 while damage to property jumped to P3.428 billion as of Thursday evening, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said.
At least 12 areas have been declared under a state of calamity while four other areas were considering doing the same.
