All for the love of the Santo Niño, anchor of faith to large numbers of people, or at least two million of devotees.
We braved the torrential rain that drenched us but the downpour during the procession did not dampen the flames of devotion. A million marched along and another million lined the five-kilometer route from the basilica, through Mango Avenue, and down D. Jakosalem Street and back to Basilica for a mass.
